Waiting six years for its release, this 2010 Rosalie is the second vintage of our well known “Rosalie” Rosé Sparkling Wine. Named in honour of our proprietor’s mother, Rosalie is a stunning example of how a Pinot Noir Rosé Sparkling can be both refreshing and decadent.
Crafted exclusively from the Pinot Noir grape, the colour of a rosé sparkling wine poses a great challenge for winemakers. While some producers find comfort and consistency in using Pinot Noir reserve wine to achieve a rosé colour, our winemaker is adamant in relying solely on the Pinot Noir skins to achieve Rosalie’s rich and vivid coral colour.
On the nose, ripe red fruits are complimented by a touch of ripe grapefruit zest. On lees for six years, a rich, yet bright palate expresses strong notes of ripe raspberry, strawberry and a slight hint of watermelon. Bright red berry notes remain on the long, full and crisp finish.
