This 2015 Rosalie is the third vintage of our well known “Rosalie” Rosé Sparkling Wine. Named in honour of our proprietor’s mother, Rosalie is a stunning example of how a Pinot Noir Rosé Sparkling can be both refreshing and decadent.

Crafted exclusively from the Pinot Noir grape, the colour of a rosé sparkling wine poses a great challenge for winemakers. While some producers find comfort and consistency in using Pinot Noir reserve wine to achieve a rosé colour, our winemaker is adamant in relying solely on the Pinot Noir skins to achieve Rosalie’s rich and vivid coral colour.

On the nose, ripe strawberry and raspberry are complimented by a touch of rhubarb and red currant. On lees for almost three years, bright acid on the palate helps express pleasant tart berry notes that give way to pastry characteristics and a slight touch of creaminess. Bright red berry notes remain on the crisp finish.


Our favourite food pairings for this wine are smoked trout with chive crème fraiche, grilled salmon or shrimp, warm turmeric chicken and quinoa salad, kale salad with a creamy lemon vinaigrette or sushi. For desserts, Rosalie pairs beautifully with fresh berries, strawberry cream tarts, old-fashioned style doughnuts. For cheeses, we highly recommend Manchego, Mozzarella and Gouda.
