Harvested well after the regular season, Late Harvest wines are sweeter in style and richer in body. Longer hanging times allow for the Riesling to ripen more substantially than during the regular growing season, resulting in a wine that is more concentrated in flavour and depth.
WINEMAKER'S NOTES
On the nose, notes of candied citrus dominate. With a beautifully round mouthfeel, ripe blood orange and grapefruit on the palate are complemented by a hint of white peach. The finish is warm, balanced and remarkably smooth with a lingering note of lemon.
FOOD MATCHES
This sweeter style Riesling is best served cold, preferably in a small, dessert wine glass. Some of our favourite pairings to complement this wine are more dessert driven like a classic shortbread cookie, fruit-based desserts or a decadent pound cake. For the perfect cheese pairing, we suggest something that is bold and pungent, like Blue Cheese.
