Kew’s cider production is the concept of sales rep Adam D’Intino, who saw the need for more elegant and most importantly, drier style ciders to be available on the market. Traditional Method is how we envision all things effervescent at Kew, and our cider is a new direction that stays true to our brand.
On the nose, rich, ripe red apple is at the forefront, with underlying tones of clove, candied orange peel, apple skins and freshly baked pastry. It’s well balanced and incredibly dry, with a rich mousse and a flavourful, long finish.
This cider’s bright acidity make it an ideal food match. A cured meat like prosciutto will really bring out it’s apple characteristic, and don’t be afraid to pair it with a spicier, chorizo style sausage or a pork roast. In terms of cheese, a strong, hard cheese such as smoked or aged cheddar would be best.
