Pinot Meunier, alongside Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, are the three varietals traditionally grown in Champagne. Traditionally saved for blending, our winemaker, Philip Dowell, eagerly set aside the 2014 vintage of our Pinot Meunier for single varietal, sparkling production. This sparkling wine is the first of its kind in Ontario not only because it is made entirely of Pinot Meunier, but also because it has no dosage. Omitting the dosage, or "liqueur d'expedition,” at the end of the Traditional Method results in a remarkably clean, dry sparkling wine.
2014 Pinot Meunier
Rich yellow now in colour, ripe lychee and citrus on the nose are complemented by a sweet floral undertone. Crisp lemon, white grapefruit and pear dominate on the palate. Raspberry and green apple keep the long, acidic finish crisp and incredible clean. This sparkling wine has developed into a rich and powerful wine.

2016 Pinot Meunier
From a historic vintage, ripe fruit forwardness of gooseberry and lemon are complemented a rich palate and incredibly dry finish. With such ripe fruit behind this vintage, aging under cork for another four years has allowed subtle reductive notes to develop.
